KapuvárRun takes place in late September in the small town of Kapuvár in north-western Hungary; 2026 saw its fifth edition. The programme is broad: a six-hour ultra, marathon, half marathon, 10 km and 5 km, a 2 km sprint, a schools' cup and a baby race. The course is a flat town loop starting and finishing by the town hall on the main square, with two aid stations, so spectators see runners again and again. Kapuvár lies at the edge of the Hanság wetlands near Lake Fertő and Sopron, with the Esterházy Palace at Fertőd — the 'Hungarian Versailles' — close by.
