Konjiški maraton

The Konjiški maraton has been held in Slovenske Konjice since 2013, in late September; its 14th edition took place on 27 September 2026. Despite the name it is a half marathon, plus 10 km, 5 km and kids' races, starting and finishing in the old town centre. The course runs through the Dravinja valley past wine-growing hills to the spa town of Zreče and back through the foothills of the Pohorje. The signature touch is the 'music marathon', with more than 200 musicians playing along the route, and the race is known for generous goodie bags, care for runners and an organisation award from the Athletic Association of Slovenia. Slovenske Konjice is a charming town with its Mestni trg, a wine road and Žiče Charterhouse, with the Zreče spa and Rogla close by.
