The Krapinski cener is a mass 10K in Krapina, the hub of scenic Croatian Zagorje and site of one of Europe's most famous Neanderthal finds (the Krapina Neanderthal Museum is nearby). The 10 km course runs through the small-town streets amid green hills; late November keeps it cool and atmospheric. A nice excuse to combine the race with a tour of Zagorje's castles and spas.
