Laponie Boreal Winter Trail

Laponie Boreal Winter Trail is a multi-day winter race in northern Finland based in Ivalo, held in late February–March. The main format is 100 km over five timed stages with about 900 m of climbing, plus a gentler 65 km walking option you can adapt to how you feel each day. Routes follow snow-covered trails through boreal forest and past frozen lakes, with a chance of northern lights in the evenings. It's as much a Lapland immersion as a race: reindeer herds, ice fishing, snowmobiling and winter-survival lessons. Nearby are the Siida Sámi museum in Inari and Lemmenjoki National Park.
