The Leuven Marathon is an autumn marathon, half and 10 km through Leuven and its green, gently rolling surroundings. The student city cheers loudly, and the finish in the centre becomes a party. Leuven has its Gothic town hall, the Great Beguinage (UNESCO), the university library tower and the Stella Artois brewery; the Oude Markt is dubbed 'the longest bar in Europe'.
