The Limerick Half Marathon is a summer race run by Just Race Events on the first Sunday of August, starting at 9am. Start and finish are at the TUS campus on the Old Cratloe Road, and the course blends Limerick's city streets with scenic surroundings on the north side of the Shannon. Water stations sit at 6, 12 and 18 km, and the race is a great summer fitness check ahead of autumn marathons. Limerick offers King John's Castle, St Mary's Cathedral and the Shannon quays, with Bunratty Castle and the Cliffs of Moher within easy reach.
