EDP Lisbon Half Marathon
7 March 2027 · Lisbon, Portugal
scenicpb course
The Lisbon Half Marathon starts on the other side of the Tagus, in Almada, and gets straight to the point: three flat kilometers across the 25 de Abril Bridge, closed just for the race, with views of the Cristo Rei statue and the whole city facing it. This is where the half marathon world record has fallen three times — the course is rated among the fastest in the world for good reason. After the bridge the running gets less dramatic, but the finish by the Jerónimos Monastery in Belém makes up for it.

Reviews
John Derrick (FlyRun Dot Fun)2023
The bridge is the most iconic part of the course — three car-free kilometers with the city looming out of the clouds. After the bridge, you don't run through touristy Lisbon — which is actually a good thing, since those parts are very hilly.
linda9389 (HealthUnlocked)2025
Three kilometers of flat or gently downhill bridge with clear views of the river and the city — no more decisions to make, just run. The bridge turned out to be the main event, the rest of the course more of a formality.
