Løberen Havneløbet is one of Copenhagen's best-loved city races, staged by the Sparta athletics club. The 18:30 start at the Gefion Fountain sits right by Kastellet and the Little Mermaid, and the route runs along the harbour promenades past the Opera and the new waterfront districts. It is flat and atmospheric, with ice cream and live music at the finish. Pick 5 or 10 km — the 10 km usually sells out in advance.
