The Løkken Marathon takes place in May on the North Jutland coast: from 5 km to the marathon on the wide sandy beach and dunes at Løkken. Wind, sand and an endless sea make it more an adventure than a race against the clock. Løkken is a popular resort with white beach huts, fishing boats on the sand and WWII bunkers; the Rubjerg Knude cliff with its relocated lighthouse is nearby.
