The Cancer Research UK London Winter Run takes place in February and bills itself as the UK's biggest 10K: a record 26,000-plus runners took part in 2026. The route runs on closed central London roads lined with a winter wonderland of penguins, live music, larger-than-life winter characters and the chance to high-five a husky. Costumes are everywhere, and no experience is needed, just good spirits and fundraising for cancer research. Winter London rewards you with free museums, ice rinks, cosy pubs and a stroll along the Thames.
