Generali Málaga Marathon
8 November 2026 · Málaga, Spain
coastalpb coursescenicbeginner friendly
The Generali Málaga Marathon starts and finishes on the Paseo del Parque — a wide, palm-lined boulevard by the port — and offers a fast, largely flat course that appeals equally to PB hunters and beach-holiday runners. The route passes the La Malagueta bullring, Plaza de la Merced, and the impressive Levante dam, and the final kilometre through the historic centre is considered one of the most beautiful finishes among Spanish marathons — a perfect Instagram shot after 41km of effort. The Costa del Sol's mild, sunny November climate makes the race a popular choice for northern European runners escaping the autumn cold. In 2025 both the men's and women's course records were broken here, cementing Málaga's reputation as one of Andalusia's fastest courses. After the finish, the city rewards runners with fresh grilled espeto sardines and a sea breeze along the promenade.

The finish through the historic centre is beautiful: the last kilometre is a real gift after 41km of marathon, dramatic and photogenic, though there's a short climb on Calle Especería just before it.
