Malmö Marathon & The Half is a new autumn race in southern Sweden: the first edition took place in 2025 and the second in early October 2026. You can run the marathon or the half, and the course is billed as one of Sweden's flattest city marathons, ideal for chasing a PB in cool weather. The route runs through the streets of Malmö, with its parks, canals and seafront on the Öresund strait. Bibs are collected at the local running store Löplabbet, and the race already has a friendly, community feel. Malmö offers the twisting Turning Torso tower, the restaurants of Lilla Torg, Ribersborg beach with its bathhouse, and the Öresund Bridge to Copenhagen, about half an hour away.
