The Maraton Dębno is Poland's oldest marathon: on 18 October 2026 this small West Pomeranian town hosts its 52nd edition. The organisers call it 'the oldest, best and one of the fastest' marathons in the country, and they have a point: the top ten men average around 2:11 and the top ten women around 2:29. The flat course runs through Dębno's streets and surrounding roads, and the whole town turns out to cheer. It is part of the Crown of Polish Marathons and a must on many runners' CVs. Nearby lie the Oder valley, Cedynia Landscape Park and the site of the famous Battle of Cedynia.
