Meia de Évora takes place at the end of November, bringing runners from across Portugal to the capital of the Alentejo. The programme includes a half marathon, a 10 km race, a 5 km walk and kids' races. The course is a single loop through Évora's UNESCO-listed historic centre — cobbled lanes, the Roman temple, the cathedral and the city walls, like running through an open-air museum. Afterwards, visit the Chapel of Bones, drive to medieval Monsaraz above the Alqueva lake and try Alentejo wines and black pork.
