The Famalicão Half Marathon holds its 12th edition in October 2026, with a 9:30 am start. Choose the half or the 10 km: the 10K stays within the town, while the half heads out into the surrounding countryside. It starts on Avenida Brasil and finishes near the Citeve technology centre, and generous time limits (3 hours for the half) make it friendly for amateurs. Famalicão is an industrial town in green Minho, with a car museum and the house-museum of writer Camilo Castelo Branco, while Braga, Guimarães and Porto are all under half an hour away.
