A single loop along the Port Hercule waterfront with minimal elevation gain — the course has a reputation as one of the fastest 5K road races on the planet. In 2023 France's Jimmy Gressier ran 13:12 here to set the European record for the distance (beating Italy's Yeman Crippa's previous mark of 13:14); in 2025 Cassandre Beaugrand broke the French women's record with 14:53.
