12 km with 410 m of elevation gain, from Port Hercule towards the Italian border and back — passing through the Jardin de la Petite Afrique, Parc Princesse Antoinette and the famous Jardin Exotique. The finish runs past the esplanade of the Prince's Palace, overlooking the harbour — one of the most scenic stretches of any city race in Europe.
