Montjuïc Tibidabo
1 November 2026 · Barcelona, Spain
hillysceniciconic
The Montjuïc-Tibidabo race (Memorial Francesc Mates) is an urban trail-style half marathon linking Barcelona's two signature hills: the Montjuïc fortress above the harbor and Tibidabo, home to a historic amusement park and the Sagrat Cor basilica at its summit. The race starts at Castell de Montjuïc at 8:00 AM and finishes at Parc de l'Oreneta at the foot of Tibidabo. With roughly 640 m of elevation gain, it's the hilliest race on the city's calendar, a sharp contrast to Catalonia's typically flat coastal half marathons. Distances are 10 km and 21.1 km.
