The MRRC Silvesterlauf München is the traditional New Year's Eve run of the Munich RoadRunners Club. It starts and finishes by the small Olympic hall in the scenic Olympic Park, the legacy of the 1972 Games, with its hills, lake and Olympiaturm tower. The main distance is a 10 km measured by the German athletics federation (DLV), with shorter loops for beginners and children. A wintry atmosphere, thousands of runners and the park's easy layout make it a nice way to close the running year in Munich.
