Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes Nice-Cannes
8 November 2026 · Nice / Cannes, France
sceniciconic
The Nice-Cannes Marathon runs along the entire French Riviera coastline: starting by the Negresco hotel on Nice's promenade, then through the pine forest of Cap d'Antibes once painted by Picasso, finishing under the palm trees of the Croisette, right by the "Golden Palm" painted onto the tarmac. It's a point-to-point course, so wind direction matters a lot. Your bib doubles as a free train ticket between Nice and Cannes on race day — handy if you need to get back for your things.

Weather in November
Early November brings 9–17°C, but it's the rainiest month on the Riviera; the point-to-point coastal course means wind direction can significantly affect pacing.

Reviews
Lisa Jackson (Sportsister)2014
I rarely repeat a marathon, but I made an exception for the most beautiful coastline in the world. The course passes the Negresco hotel, a Miles Davis statue, and the pine forest Picasso once painted.
Tim Alexander (running.life)2025
One of the most beautiful marathons you can run. The weather was almost perfect — sun and a cooling sea breeze, though the hills at km 35-40 hit tired calves hard.
