The Nürnberger Silvesterlauf (Team Klinikum Nürnberg) is a popular New Year's Eve run around the city lake Wöhrder See. On 31 December participants choose a 5 km fun run (one loop) or the 10 km main race (two loops), plus children's races. A flat lakeside course in eastern Nuremberg, a wintry mood and a charity element (part of the fee goes to good causes) make it a great, accessible way to see out the old year.
