NUTS Pyhä has been held in mid-August since 2020, continuing the tradition of the Pyhä Tunturimaraton (2015–2019). The 10, 21 and 43 km races start and finish at Pyhä resort. Routes cross fells, ancient forests, ridges and deep gorges in Pyhä-Luosto National Park: the 43 km crosses Noitatunturi and Laakakero to Kapusta in Luosto and returns over Kultakero, the 21 km tops Kultakero for sweeping views, and the 10 km runs through the Aittakuru gorge past Karhunjuomalampi pond. Technical trails and serious climbs make it a true fell race. Pyhä also offers the Luosto amethyst mine, ski slopes and the silence of the Lapland fells.
