Österlen Spring Trail is an April trail race based in Andrarum in eastern Skåne, opening the season for runners in southern Sweden. There is a 22 km (about 380 m of climbing), the most popular 30 km (about 500 m), which can also be run as a duo, and a 60 km ultra with about 1,140 m; last time more than 400 ran the 30 km and over 200 the 60 km. The routes cross Österlen's rolling pastures, beech woods and river valleys, just turning green in spring, with stretches out towards the coast. The race carries UTMB Index status. Österlen is a land of artists, apple orchards, fishing villages with smoked fish and the mysterious Ale's Stones ship setting above the sea.
