'Pajūrio basatlonas' is a barefoot race on seaside sand, held for the third time in late July 2026. Distances are 500 m, 2.5, 5 and 10 km, so kids and experienced runners alike can take part. Running on sand is a special pleasure and a challenge: your feet sink, your heart rate climbs, but every step is a foot massage with a sea breeze and Baltic views. The race coincides with the Sea Festival, Klaipėda's biggest celebration with concerts, fairs and tall ships, so you can dive straight into the party after the finish. Klaipėda is a port city with a half-timbered Old Town and a ferry that takes you in minutes to the dunes of the Curonian Spit and the Lithuanian Sea Museum.
