Portonovi New Year's Run

Portonovi New Year's Run is a festive 5 km race that opens the running year on Montenegro's coast. It runs along the promenade and marina of the luxury Portonovi resort in Kumbor, at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor, with views of yachts and mountains. The distance is short and flat, with children's races too, so it is more a family celebration and an easy way to start January in motion than a competition. The mild Adriatic winter, almost snow-free, makes it especially pleasant for tourists wintering on the coast. It is organised by the Herceg Novi triathlon club.
