The PKO Poznań Półmaraton is one of Poland's largest half marathons: its 18th edition in 2026 drew a record of around 13,500 finishers, and the 19th takes place on 18 April 2027 with a 9am start. The city course is fast — in 2026 Kenya's Sheila Chepkirui set a course record of 1:06:08, one of the year's best times worldwide. The spring race draws both elites and thousands of amateurs, and the city turns into a big running party. A great tune-up before marathon season. Poznań offers the Old Market Square and its goat-adorned town hall, Ostrów Tumski, the Imperial Castle and St Martin's croissants.
