The Generali Prague Half Marathon is RunCzech's spring half with World Athletics Elite Label status and a place in the SuperHalfs series; its 25th edition in 2025 drew around 16,000 runners. Start and finish are on the Bubenské embankment in Holešovice, and the course runs through the heart of historic Prague and along the Vltava, with views of Prague Castle and the bridges. It is very fast: the men's record is 58:24 by Sabastian Sawe and the women's 1:04:52 by Joyciline Jepkosgei. Amateurs line up alongside the world's elite, and the city welcomes spring with a running party. Prague offers Charles Bridge, Prague Castle, Malá Strana, Vyšehrad and beer halls serving pork knuckle.
An easy run with a local club the day before the race — the best way to shake out the legs and meet the city.
