Rebildløbet takes place in June in Rebild Bakker, a national park of hills, heath and Rold Forest. Distances of 13.7 km and a half marathon follow hilly trails — serious climbs and descents by Danish standards, with views over the valleys. Rebild is known for its annual US Independence Day celebration (since 1912); Aalborg is nearby.
