The Mitja Rural de Reus is a young event (first held in 2023), organized by Reus city council's environment and sports departments. The route runs on dirt roads through the northwest of the city — past olive groves, hazelnut plantations, and the region's characteristic dry-stone walls, skirting the Pere Mata Institute and the Riudecanyes reservoir channel. Registration is free, and the race has quickly become popular with trail-leaning runners.
