The DSW Bruggenloop is a 15 km over Rotterdam's most iconic bridges in mid-December. It starts late in the afternoon, so much of the course runs against the lit-up skyline and bridges — one of the most spectacular city routes in Europe. Around 15,000 take part and places sell out early. Rotterdam is a city of modern architecture: the Erasmus Bridge, the Cube Houses, the Markthal, the Boijmans Depot and walks around the old harbour.
