Rovinj – Rovigno Run is the competitive part of the Popolana sports and charity festival, whose 18th edition took place in April 2026. Start and finish are by Hotel Eden, with a 10 km and a half marathon on a loop course. The surface is mostly gravel with dirt singletrack and only a little asphalt, with around 250 m of climbing on the half — more a gentle seaside trail through pine woods than a road race. A small field of up to 300 runners and Popolana's charitable spirit give it a warm feel. Rovinj is one of Istria's prettiest towns: an old town on a peninsula crowned by St Euphemia's bell tower, the artists' lane of Grisia and sunsets over the islands.
