Rubjerg Knudeløbet takes place in mid-August near Lønstrup: 5, 10 and 15 km and a half marathon over dunes, coastal cliffs and North Sea beach. The course's icon is the Rubjerg Knude lighthouse, moved 70 metres inland in 2019 to save it from falling into the sea. Sand and climbs make it hard, the views make it unforgettable. Lønstrup is a picturesque artists' village, with Løkken and Hjørring nearby.
