Ruissalojuoksut is a classic autumn race in Turku with more than half a century of history: in 2025 it reached its 53rd edition with over 1,500 participants. Choose the 10 km ‘Ruisriikki’ or the half marathon ‘Ruisrääkki’ — the playful name hints it won't be a stroll. The course runs across Ruissalo island, famous for its oak groves, old villas and sea views. Afterwards, Ruissalo Spa offers runners discounted stays. Turku is Finland's oldest city: the castle, the cathedral, the Ruissalo botanical garden and the Archipelago Sea.
