Run Greece is the mass, amateur-friendly series of the Greek Athletics Federation (SEGAS), staged in several cities across the country. The Piraeus leg — set in Greece's biggest port and the sea gateway of Athens — offers a choice of 5 or 10 km along the waterfront and harbour districts, plus dynamic walking and kids' races. The course is flat and the vibe family-friendly, ideal for absolute beginners and for tourists who can reach it by metro from central Athens. It takes place in early October.
