Rondane 100 is a summer ultra trail of 100 km with about 3,000 m of climbing, starting and finishing in the mountain village of Høvringen on the edge of Rondane National Park. Rondane is Norway's oldest national park, and the course crosses its signature landscape of rounded peaks over 2,000 m, wide valleys, boulder fields, lichen-covered plateaus and crystal-clear lakes. The organisers call it 'Norway's most spectacular ultra', a long day in genuine wilderness where wild reindeer are often seen. Around it lies the Gudbrandsdalen valley with its wooden farmsteads, the Norwegian Trekking Association's mountain huts and hiking routes to the Rondane summits.
