The Medio Maratón San Sebastián Rural Kutxa is a genuinely separate event from the hillier Behobia-San Sebastián (run in November) and from the November Zurich Maratón Donostia-San Sebastián. Start and finish sit on the Boulevard in the heart of the city, and the course is flat and RFEA-certified, making it a favorite for personal bests. Many runners use a strong time here to earn a better starting corral for Behobia a few weeks later.
