Medio Maratón de Santander
11 April 2027 · Santander, Spain
coastalscenicflatpb course
The Santander Half Marathon is one of northern Spain's most scenic coastal races: the course starts on the elegant Paseo de Pereda, curves around the bay past Renzo Piano's Centro Botín, and heads toward the celebrated beaches of El Sardinero. Santander is Cantabria's seaside capital, a city of royal summer residences and one of Europe's most beautiful urban bays, and the half marathon fully embraces that coastal identity. The course is flat and fast, regularly drawing runners chasing a personal best, and the mild Atlantic spring climate usually makes for comfortable racing conditions. The route follows one of the city's liveliest promenades, making it easy to continue with a seaside stroll or a coffee overlooking the bay right after finishing. Cantabrian hospitality and stunning ocean views have made this a favorite not just locally but among runners traveling from across Spain.
