The Schweizer Frauenlauf Bern is a June women's race that draws about 16,000 participants and is considered the largest women's sports event in Switzerland. The main distance is 5 km, starting on Bundesgasse, crossing the Monbijou Bridge into the Kirchenfeld district and finishing on the Bundesplatz in front of Parliament, while the keenest run or Nordic-walk 15 km. Girls have a 500 m sprint and a Girls Mile, you can enter as a team or in the unranked Run for Fun, and colourful balloons and crowds of spectators line the route. Bern is a capital with UNESCO-listed old-town arcades, the Zytglogge clock tower, the bear park and summer swims in the Aare.
