Serifos Sunset Race

The Serifos Sunset Race is an atmospheric sports event on the Cycladic island of Serifos, known for its whitewashed chora villages and quiet beaches. It features 5 and 10 km road runs on the coastal road by Livadi bay, starting around sunset with views over the sea and the Aegean islands. The course is paved but follows the coastal terrain, so it rolls in places. There are also open-water swims (not counted here). It's an ideal active-holiday format for the Greek islands in mid-September, when the sea is still warm and the heat has eased. Ferries run to the island from Piraeus.
