The Silkeborg Half takes place in September: 10 km and a half marathon on rolling roads and trails around Silkeborg's lakes. It is one of Jutland's most scenic courses — water, beech woods and autumn colours. Silkeborg has the Tollund Man museum, Museum Jorn, the paddle steamer Hjejlen to Himmelbjerget and the Gudenå river for kayakers.
