Sognefjord Trail Run is a late-summer trail race starting in Sogndalsfjøra, held for several years now and capped at 500 runners. There is a mountain marathon, a half marathon and a short but steep SKYRACE. The routes take in deep forests, technical high-mountain terrain and open ridgelines overlooking the Sognefjord, the world's longest fjord, mixing flowy trails, steep climbs and gravel paths with very little asphalt. The small field keeps it intimate, and the scenery is among the most dramatic in Western Norway. Sogndal is the gateway to the Jostedalsbreen glacier, the UNESCO-listed Urnes stave church, the fruit orchards of Sogn and the Nærøyfjord.
