The South Coast Beach Run takes place in early August on one of Denmark's best beaches, Marielyst on Falster: from 5 km to the marathon on a wide strip of white sand by the Baltic. Warm shallow water and a summer mood make it a great excuse for a family weekend by the sea. Nykøbing Falster, the Møns Klint chalk cliffs and the Medieval Centre are nearby.
