The Stadtlauf St. Gallen takes place in September in the historic core of St. Gallen: start and finish at the Waaghaus on Bohl square, with the course winding through the narrow lanes of the old town beside the abbey district and its Baroque cathedral (a UNESCO site). The short run is 5 km (two laps) and the main event is 10 km (four laps) in Speed Run and Fun Run formats. Rolling city laps and an evening crowd make it beginner-friendly. It is a separate event from the May Auffahrtslauf.
