Sterea Run - Night Run Karpenisi is an evening city race in Karpenisi, a mountain resort town in central Greece often called 'Greek Switzerland' for its fir-clad slopes and winter tourism. The 5 and 10 km distances run through floodlit streets, with a 1 km kids' race too. Because of the altitude and terrain the course is hilly, and November evenings are cool — perfect for a brisk run. It combines well with an autumn break in the Evrytania mountains: gorges, stone villages and the Tavropos river.
