EcoTrail Stockholm is the summer stop of the international EcoTrail series, held in the Swedish capital since 2017; in 2026 it took place in mid-June. Runners can choose 80, 45, 33 or 16 km, plus a short fun run and children's races. The routes link the forests, lakes and nature reserves around the city with the royal woodlands of Djurgården, passing the Kaknäs Tower and the Hundudden headland, showing just how much wild nature hides inside a big city. The series' philosophy is respect for nature: no single-use cups, so runners carry their own. Stockholm offers Gamla Stan, the Vasa Museum, Skansen and the archipelago, and the series also holds a winter EcoTrail here.
An easy run with a local club the day before the race — the best way to shake out the legs and meet the city.
