The Color Run in Jūrmala is an untimed 5 km summer fun run in late August where you can run, walk or dance your way round. At every kilometre you're showered with natural colour powder — orange, red, green and blue — plus there's a foam zone, so you start in a white T-shirt and finish as a rainbow. The party takes place in Kauguri Park as part of The Color Run Disco tour, with Zumba, a music stage, a kids' town, street food and separate 'superhero' races for children. Jūrmala is Latvia's top seaside resort: 33 km of sandy beach, wooden Art Nouveau villas, pedestrian Jomas Street and pine-covered dunes.
