Maratón Imperial de Toledo
15 November 2026 · Toledo, Spain
iconichistoric cityunesco
Toledo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, served as the imperial capital of Spain under Charles V and was for centuries a place where Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures coexisted. The debut edition of the Maratón Imperial de Toledo, launching in November 2026, offers three formats: a solo marathon (42.195km), a two-person relay marathon (21.1km each), and a four-person team relay (about 10.5km each). The race starts at 9:00 with a 14:30 course closure. The hilly course winds through the steep streets of the old city above the Tagus river, complementing the city's existing half marathon, the Media Maratón Ciudad de Toledo.
