TRAIL Kuršių Nerija is a trail race on the Curonian Spit that the organisers call 'the most beautiful run in Lithuania'; it celebrated its tenth edition in October 2026. Distances range from a 1 km kids' run and 10–21 km (which you can also hike) to run-only 30, 42, 50, 70 and 104 km routes carrying ITRA points. The start is at Smiltynė by the ferry from Klaipėda, and the courses follow the national park's natural trails: sand, pine forests, dunes and the shores of the Baltic and the Curonian Lagoon, where every sandy kilometre feels twice as hard. After the finish there's a Red Bull zone and a party late into the night. The UNESCO-listed Curonian Spit means towering dunes, Nida's fishermen's cottages, the Hill of Witches at Juodkrantė and smoked fish at every turn.
