Sky Race Montejunto Inverno is the winter edition of the skyrunning race on the Montejunto ridge, held in late November and organised by Turres Trail Clube with support from the Serra de Montejunto protected area and Cadaval municipality. There are three distances — 26 km with about 2,000 m of climbing, 16 km and 12 km — all loops on technically demanding mountain trails. Start and finish are at the Serra de Montejunto interpretation centre, and the ridge opens views over the Oeste plains and the Atlantic. Montejunto is the highest peak near Lisbon, home to the old Royal Ice Factory and the ruins of a Dominican convent, with Lisbon-region wineries waiting below.
