Umag Run takes place in early October at the Stella Maris resort in Umag, with every race starting at the Goran Ivanišević Stadium, home to the summer ATP tennis tournament. There is a half marathon, a 10.5 km and a 5 km fun run, plus free kids' races over 200, 400 and 800 m. The course follows coastal paths and the town's landmarks with views of the Istrian coastline, and a pasta party awaits at the finish. It is more about moving and spending time together than chasing seconds. Umag has a cosy old town on a small peninsula, the beaches and coves of north-western Istria, and wineries and medieval hilltop towns just inland.
